Company introduction

Smiling Coast Agro Processing Company Ltd (SCAPC) is a HACCP-certified cashew processing company based in Tanji, The Gambia, registered in 2020. SCAPC transforms raw cashew nuts into premium cashew kernels (Wholes, Splits, Butts, LWP, SWP) and cashew butter/paste, using a 100% solar- and biomass-powered factory. The company partners with a network of around 1,500 smallholder farmers and employs over 75 staff, approximately 85% of them women and youth. SCAPC holds Gambia’s first HACCP certification for cashew processing and an approved GACC registration to export food products to China, and is pursuing BRCGS, Fairtrade, and Organic certification. SCAPC aims to build long-term partnerships with international buyers, including in the Chinese market.
